Parrot Polish vol.2

Hello my friends, I finally got rid of that annoying cold so I'm back with second part of my Parrot Polish swatches =))

In the first post I have show you more of a cold toned, blue/silver/green polishes in this one I'll show you 3 warm toned, perfect fall colors from their standard range!
If you've missed the first part, heres the LINK!

I'm gonna start with the lightest and finish up with the darkest from the 3!

So first I've got GOLD SILK - beautiful yellow polish with strong gold shimmer! It's so silky, extremely easy to apply, 2 coats for full opacity!
I think I didn't mention this before but I love the brushes that these polishes have. The size is great and it makes application supper easy.

BRONZE FIRE - is a bronze holographic topper that I found works best over dark polishes (black especially). I did try it on white first but I wasn't completely satisfied how it came out.
I'll show you both versions  bellow so you can tell me witch one you like better!
I've used 2 coats over base color. Formula is good, easy to apply!

OVER WHITE in the shadow

over black, in the sun

COOPER TWIST is gorgeous holographic brown color opaque in just 1 COAT!! It has amazing holo shine in the sun and intense lightning, formula is good, a bit tick but application is still quite easy! This one is my favorite from the 3 ..Love it

Overall, I love all 6 polishes I've showed you. The colors are gorgeous and the formulas are great. I highly recommend them to you.
Parrot polish has FREE SHIPPING for all orders now, that's great deal .. I even manage to pass my obsession to my friend that already bought 5 lol !!

Parrot Polish vol.1 (swatches and reviews)

Hello guys, hope you're doing good. I catch a cold :/ so I'm not feeling so good but not so bad, I can still write a post =)

Two days ago I received some polishes from my favorite Indie polish brand Parrot Polish. I already swatched some of the polishes from their neon collection and I talked about the brand there so I wont repeat myself now.. you can find that post HERE

The polishes I'll be showing you today are from their regular line and they offer FREE USA shipping!! They're all 5-free and high quality!

Ps I didn't use any top coat on the photos bellow ( just so you know)

EMERALD SAND - is the most gorgeous sea green holographic polish with a hint of gold and silver! This one is a one coater!! oh yes you only need one coat to reach full opacity! Formula is great and application's easy. Absolutely gorgeous when the sun hits it *.*

shadow

BLUE MACAW - is a gorgeous blue shimmery polish with a golden twist in the sun , in the shadow it has sort of a duochrome effect. I'm so in love with this color <3 . The formula was a bit sheer on a first coat but the second one evened things out. Although you can get out with just 2 coats I did 3 just to see a difference  (it's not big).

SILVER DAKOTA -  is a dark silver color with a hint of blue. It has gorgeous holographic shimmer that pops out in the sun! The formula was a bit tricky on first coat but the second one evened things out! I used 2 coats for the photos bellow

Overall, I love this polishes, all tree colors are absolutely stunning and their formulas are great!
They retails for 11$ and you can get them HERE
You can also find Parrot Polish on Facebook if you want to know more about them!!

I hope you liked todays post ,
till the next time xoxo

MUIR MUIR ON THE WALL by O.P.I

Hello my dear friends, greetings from the rainy and cold Croatia :/
Although it's not yet fall, I feel like it is because of the weather here! So I'm starting to reach out for my fall polish shades.
The one that I bought like a month ago, and I waited the fall to swatch, is the one I'll be sharing with you today. It was actually on sale - 70% off so I just had to take it.

Obviously I'm talking about MUIR MUIR ON THE WALL by O.P.I, although this shade is from their old San Francisco collection (2013.) I don't see why shouldn't I show it to you now.
A lot of the times I cant really afford to buy (or I can't find) the O.P.I polishes when they just come out, especially not the whole collections , but this kind of sales really makes them affordable for me and I assume for some of you too.

This polish is so beautiful. It has like a duocrome effect and it goes from dark brown with a bronze and burgundy shimmer to a more like a vampy, darkened plum with an intense plum shimmer, and it has a bit of green to it lol. It's really hard to describe the color, and it does switch depending on the lightning.
Formula is good. First coat is uneven and quite sheer but the second coat evens everything out =)
I tried to capture all the shades on the camera so there's quite a few photos ;)

I also did a little collage just so you can see some of the transitions of the polish  =)

Overall, I really like this color, it's so special. It's my favorite from the San Francisco collection =) I have 2 more polishes from that collection that I'll be showing you in the near future so stay tuned =)

I also did a little accent nail using the water decals from alterNailtive

Don't forget that I'm also on Instagram, Bloglovin, Twitter and Facebook

till the next time xoxo

Unique nail polish

Hi guys hope your doing great. =) Today I'm gonna show you two unique handmade nail polishes from Polish Alcoholic.
I already had the opportunity to show you guys some of the gorgeous polish from this European indie polish maker, so if you didn't already you can read everything about it here.

You can find Polish Alcoholic lacquers on Etsy. The polishes are all 5-free, 10 ml and can be shipped worldwide.

I'm gonna show you two polishes, one from the new summer 2014 collection and one from The X-files collection.

KOHOUTEK  is a green shimmery base filled with small purple, fuchsia, green and blue hexagonal glitters and some bigger green and blue ones. It's part of the summer 2014 collection, it retails for 10.47$ and it's named after comet  =).
3 coats to gain a full opacity, formula is good and the colors reminds me of peacock feathers =)

MYSTERY MAN is a black base filled with multi colored glitters and silver shreds. It's part of the X-files collection and also retails for 10.47$
Formula is good , 3 coats to gain the full opacity =) I think it would be great for my galaxy manis =)

Overall I like both of them very much and I think they're super unique <3

Don't forget to follow me on instagram and twitter  ;)

Gothic Gala Lacquers

Hi guys, how are you today? I'm not feeling very well :( I think I'm gonna be sick :(( hope not..
I've been meaning to write this post last week but I was so busy with preparing my exams so I didn't make it.
Finally I found some time to introduce you guys with my first Gothic Gala Lacquers nail polishes :)

I purchased , like couple months ago,  tree polishes from this indie brand. They have finally arrived last week and I'm so excited to show them to you :)
Ps they were so nicely packed!!

The one I'm supper happy about is simple cream polish... you must think how boring is that... but you'll know what I mean when you see the pictures *.*
It's called Crush and it's a most gorgeous baby blue color that I've ever seen..
The formula is great, fully opaque in 2 coat and it dries really fast... I absolutely love it <3
It comes in two options : with or without glitters. I've bought without.

the pictures are 2 coats without top coat

Second one is my first thermal polish.. these kind of polishes are so fun with their changes of color lol..
It's called Lilac Dreams and it goes from lilac to dark purple.. the color shift is visible the most when you put your nail in water... so this polish will be great for summer.
Formula is also great, needs 2 coats to be opaque and it dries to a satin finish. . The only thing that I would change about it (if I could) is the range of colors that it transfer to.. I would love if it had a little bit more contrast between the lightest and the darkest color..

transformation

lightest color

The last but not the least is a holographic top coat Holo-y Goodness. I was super excited when I bought this one because I didn't own any holographic polishes at that time .. but while I was waiting this package to arrive I received a holographic top coat from PolishAlcoholic I wrote a review about that one : here so I'm kinda sad I didn't pick something else from the most amazing and unique choices that Gothic Gala Lacquers offers.

Anyways the formula is great as for the previous ones.. only one coat is enought for the effect. I'll be doing comparison between the two holographic top coats soon so stay tuned :)

this is how it looks in the shadows

Overall I really liked all of the them, formulas are amazing the only thing that I don't really like is the brush. It's really soft and not so easy to work with. I would prefer the flat one..

l Hope you liked the review..

Until the next time xoxo

TIP TOP NAILS - swatch and review

Hello everyone I hope you're all doing great and that you're enjoying the sun =))

Today I'm gonna introduce you with a nail polish brand called Tip Top Nails South Africa.
I was quite unfamiliar with this brand until few months back when I heard of it on facebook . I was immediately drown by the variety of colors and textures they have so I really wanted to try some of their polishes.. =)

I have to say right away that their customer service is extremely good and one of the most polite I run into in this past year that I've been doing nail art. So thank you Joan for your kindness :*

They have one of the most amazing web sites: http://www.tiptopnails.co.za/ where you can find everything about their brand, colors, shipping etc.. ps They do ship worldwide :D
And they have international giveaways few time A WEEK on their facebook page, so definitely go check that out!

Let's get to the swatches =))

I have 3 colors from their new Silence collection to show you .

First one is called A Brush Of Lilac number 1003 - this is a pearly polish, sort of a light dirty pink color with a gorgeous pink-purple iridescent. It's almost like a nude polish. It's fully opaque in 3 thin coats, the formula is a bit runny but easy to apply. This one is probably the most sheerer from the 3 I'm going to show you today (but that doesn't make him bad tho)

The pictures are 3 coats and NO top coat for all the polishes

Cool As A Cucumber 1006 is a pale green shimmery polish with just a slight pearly finish. The formula is great ,more opaque then the previous one and again really easy to work with.
Another unique and gorgeous color =)
I used 3 thin coats but you can probably get away with just 2.

Last but definitely not the least is my favorite from the tree called Champagne Whispers 1001 - this one is just gorgeous champagne shimmery polish opaque in 2 coats with great formula. The color is very special and I think it would be perfect for some special occasions like weddings, graduations, etc.

I think it's important to say that all the polishes are Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and Camphor free and not tested on animals. Plus they have a Vitamin E to protect our natural nails, how great is that?! =))

OVERALL I really liked all of the colors and finishes and I'll be using them a lot in the future <3

What is your favorite?

Hope you've find this post interesting and useful

till the next time xoxo
