Glow in the dark nail polishes from Parrot Polish

Hello my friends, how are you doing?
I'm quite busy  writing and preparing my graduation thesis so I've neglected a bit my blog and fb page :/
I've found time to finally show you the most amazing polishes I own, and that's because they glow in the dark.
It's so cool and fun when I turn off the lights before going to sleep and realize that my nails glows  lol ... Kinda spooky also lol
I have 6 polishes to show you today, 2 of those are regular glow polishes and 4 of them are top coats!! They are all from Parrot Polish, indie polish brand that I talked so much in the past few months. If you want to know more about them you can read my previous reviews!

They are absolutely stunning!

GLOW YUK - is supposed to be a glow in the dark version of neon green called Mr. Yuk - my all time favorite polish  (REVIEW). The formula is great, I applied two coats over white, but it's not so neon as the original one and it dries in a semi-mat finish. I don't think that's a negative thing because the color is still vibrant and so pretty <3
In the photo bellow you can see the Glow Yuk on the left and the original Mr. Yuk on the right. They're both taken in the daylight!!

Now let me show you how it looks in the night ;D

As you can see, the glow is really intense and it's even more equal and vibrant in real life. Absolutely gorgeous!!

GLOW BLAZE - is another improved version of his neon ancestor! The formula is the same as for the non glow one, but the color is again less neon then for the original one, (REVIEWand it dries in a semi-mat finish.
On the photo bellow, the glow blaze in on the left and the original one is on the right!

When you turn off the lights it has orange glow perfect for fall and especially for Halloween!

Now let's get onto the top coats!
First the idea of making the glow in the dark top coat is (I think) brilliant! I didn't see this tipes of polishes anywhere else. The thing that makes them extraordinary is the fact that they can be put over any other color or design that you prefer on wearing during the day and still it makes your manicure glow during the night! So if you don't like the colors of some glow in the dark polishes, these are perfect for you!!

They came in a Green, Blue, Purple  and Bleen (blue-green) for now but I know there are some other colors that are being developed :D If you want to know what colors there are and when they coming out make sure you follow Parrot Polish on Facebook because they post new stuff there!!

First one I'm gonna show you is GLOW GREEN - this top coat has the most intense green glow with only one coat!! I've put it over my Paris themed nail wraps and if you've read REVIEW for those then you saw the photos of this amazing top coat! This is the proof that they can be put over anything and still glow amazingly!!

GLOW PURPLE- another amazing top coat that gave me trouble while photographing it! It keep turning more blue that purple on the camera and I couldn't capture it's real color :(
I was so sad because the color is beautiful and so unique! But anyways , the formula is great, only one coat is needed to make it glow! Dries fast as all the others do!
I put one coat over the color of the year - RADIANT ORCHID, this polish is by Manhattan and it's number 26S!

GLOW BLEEN - is a light blue top coat with a hint of green, sort of a turquoise color! Formula, again, great, fast dry and only one coat needed for the effect!! I've put one coat over holographic color called  EMERALD SAND! (REVIEW)

you can still see the spectraflair from the holographic base - so cool

And last but not least is mini Glow Blue- another amazing top coat, with great formula. I applied it over a nail art that I'll show you in another post , but here's how it looks with the lights off :D

And there they are - 6 amazing glow in the dark polishes!!! I love the formula and how amazing they look!! I definitely recommend them to anyone who likes nail polish and nail art, they're must haves!
You can get them HERE for $11 and FREE SHIPPING, I think that's a great deal!!

PRIME AND FINE ANTI-RED BASE by Catrice

Hello guys hope you're doing great!
Today I decided to write a review for this product that I recently bought in a local drugstore.
It's an anti red base from a n European cosmetic drugstore brand called Catrice.

I was planing on buying some foundation base for a while now and this one recently came out, it's a part of their new line. The reason I bought this one, apart for the fact that it suppose to neutralize redness and it's oil free (which is perfect for my skin), is because I have their foundation and setting powder and I'm so happy with them. So I've figured it would be nice to have complete set from the same brand (base, foundation and setting powder).

I've tried this base few days ago for the first time. It's green which is okay, products that reduce redness normally are! So I expected that but the fact I didn't expect are the glitters... yep you read it right... it contains glitters!!

At first I taught the packaging was dirty so that's where the glitters are from. Then I washed it and my hands and everything and start over... but didn't helped... my face was glowing like a Christmas tree :/
And it doesn't get covered by foundation... terrible!!

ps the picture bellow is my hand (not face)
I hope you can see how many glitters there is in small amount of product

I don't know what they were thinking when they've made this. .. I mean it's a base that supposed to reduce redness and excessive shine and not to add it.
The reason I'm quite mad about this product is that they didn't wrote that the product contains glitters.. if they did I most certainly wouldn't spend my money on it.
Not that it was expensive, around 5€, but anyway...
This is what they wrote on the packaging: "Soft green primer neutralizes redness and gives a longlasting even skin tone. Minimizes optically fine lines and pores. Use alone or under make up. Free of parabens, oil and perfume.  Dermatologically tested."

I'm so disappointed in this product and brand as well for not letting us know what the product really is and misleading us..
This is why I had to write this post and let you guys know, no mater how sorry I am, because I love this brand!

So for me this is a big regret and fail and I wouldn't recommend this base to anyone who doesn't want to have glitters all over their face!
Hope I helped some of you with this review.  Please let me know in comments below if you'll like to see review of the foundation and setting powder I've mentioned above!

Neons by Parrot Polish

Hello my friends I'm so happy to present you my favorite neon polishes.

Not so long ago I came across to a quite new Indie Polish brand - Parrot  Polish and fell in love with their neons.
I've been in search for true neons all spring and summer  and only one that I could find in a range of cca 100 km from my house was the O.P.I neons that wasn't really neons :/ Finding them online was difficult to. It seems that it's hard to do true neon polish...
But not for the brand I'll introduce you to now =)

Parrot Polish was founded earlier this year by a family of polish enthusiastic the Abshire's. It's a 5 FREE brand carefully developed,  packed and handmade by the owners.. although they're quite young in this polish world they did an amazing job with their range of polishes and quality.  I invite you all to come and check out their site so you can see for yourself all the amazing colors and unique polishes... LINK!

I have 3 polishes from their summer 2014 neon collection to show you today ...

First one is called Hot Lips and it's a hot,  vibrant, neon pink!
I couldn't capture all his glory on camera :/ it's more neon in person. This one is the most opaque from the 3, I've used only one coat over white.

Second one is an absolute mind blower that has easily become my all time favorite polish.
It's called Mr Yuk and it's an amazing neon green.
I've used 2 coats over white base to get this amazing effect.
The color is truly gorgeous and I've never seen anything like that before.. so vibrant

Last but not the least is Blaze ,neon orange. It was really hard to capture this one to.. it's more vibrant in person. I've used 2 coats over white in the photos bellow..

All the polishes got jellylike formula and the application is really easy and smooth. They do have to be layered over white base for the neon effect!
Overall I really like all of these but my absolute favorite is Mr Yuk ..its just so stunning!

Polishes retail for 11$ and they offer free USA shipping at this point , so take advantage of that if you can !

You can also find Parrot Polish on Facebook and Instagram =)

happy polishing, till the next time xoxo

O.P.I - Brazil collection

Hay guys hope you're doing great.. I decided that's finally the time to introduce you with my O.P.I spring/summer 2014 collection - The Brazil collection.

I didn't buy all the polishes at once and they were all purchased on different places and of course by me =), that's why I'm writing this review so "late".

I don't have to tell you much about this collection because you probably know everything about it by now.

The first polish that I bought (on ebay) were DON'T BOSSA NOVA ME AROUND. This is a pink toned nude creme. Really nice and neutral color and a great replacement for white polish.
The formula is good, opaque in 2 coats and a little bit on the ticker side (but just a little :D )

I used 2 coats without top coat for the photos...

and a little nail art =)

WHERE DID SUZI'S MAN-GO? (love that name..ps love all the names lol)  is the one that I bought along with the Don't Bossa Nova Me Around on ebay.
This is a light mango orange cream with a great formula, opaque in 2 coats and with great consistency.

again I used 2 coats , no top coat for the photos ...

nothing without a little nail art ;)))

I JUST CAN COPE-ACABANA is a gorgeous (perfect) yellow cream that I bought in Sephora in Italy! The formula is great it's fully opaque in 2 coats and great consistency. I love this one and I think it's the best yellow polish ever..

2 coats, no top coat
without flash

 2 coats, no top coat
with flash

LIVE.LOVE.CARNAVAL is a bright coral creme and it's the only one bought in Croatia lol
The formula is good , opaque in 2 coats and great consistency. Great vibrant color for the summer =)

and a nail art including all the colors..

just when I made this last nail art I realized I picked all the fiery colors from the collection lol

so what do you think? do you like my picks? would you recommend me some other polish to try/buy?

hope you liked it and find it useful =)

till the next time xoxo

The Best Stamping Plates Ever

Hey guys, I'm supper excited to finally share with you the Ultimate stamping plates.
In this post I'll be reviewing MoYou -LONDON-  stamping plates and I'll share with you the designs I've done with them so far.

First off all, in case you didn't  heard about MoYou till now,  it's a beauty accessories company situated in London that is distributing products all around the world.
They are one of the most famous brands in the nail art community because of their most unique, gorgeous and high quality stamping plates.

I have two of these gorgeous plates, a stamper and a scraper to show you today. One plate is from -THE PRO-  collection and the other one is from -FRENCHY- collection.

I was introduce to nail stamping few months back , I bought a basic nail stamping kit from Essence, and at first I felt like I'm really bad at it... the image wouldn't transfer completely, or would result blur , etc,etc...  Then I tried another plate (from another brand) and I saw that the images turned up a little better but still not how they supposed to be. I was a little disappointed at that time and I was thinking I would never manage to do a perfect stamping.
But then things changed... I received a nail mail from MoYou London... I have to say that I was a little scared at first because I taught that, maybe, I won't be able to do a perfect design with this top plates but naaah... The plates are so unique and extremely easy to work with and with them EVERYBODY CAN BE A NAIL ARTIST =)

When I first saw a stamper I was so happy and excited to try it, because the one that I owned is really small and cheap and it's not really god. But my excitement disappeared when I tried to stamp with it. I just couldn't transfer the image onto it :/ .. I don't know how to make it work.. if you have some advice please let me know!!

The scraper is the best I ever work with.. It's made of plastic so it doesn't scratch the plates, like the other ones with the metal end! Before this I used an old credit card to scrape the excess polish off the plate lol
I highly recommend  this kind of scraper to all of you stamping lovers =)

this is how the plates looks inside :

Let me show you now what I did with them so far ...

Overall like the title says I think these are the best plates ever and every nail lover should have at least one!!
